Are Florence by Mills products worth your money?

Florence by Mills is a clean beauty brand created by actress Millie Bobby Brown. The brand makes products that are vegan and free of phthalates, parabens, sulfates and synthetic fragrances. Products are also suitable for all skin types, not to mention the fact that the packaging is really pretty. For each product I will give the description from the Florence by Mills website, a few things I liked, and a few things (if any) I disliked.

16 Wishes Get Glossed Lip Gloss - $14 USD

"Let’s get glossed without the sticky factor. This comfy formula delivers glossy goodness in sheer shades that make us want o celebrate. Shea butter cushions our lips while vitamin E nourishes."

Things I love:

  • The formula isn't sticky

  • It very pigmented and shiny

  • It smells nice

Things I didn't love:

  • I felt a tingly/burning sensation when I put it on for the first few times (is it a plumping formula?)

  • It doesn't last that long (if found myself have to reapply every 30-40 mins

Final thoughts:

Overall, I would recommend this products because the shades are all very nice (I tried the shade "Birthday Mills"), it's afforable, and the brand has good ideas. If you have super sensitive skin, you might experience a similar tingly feeling, but it's not painful. The gloss also isn't super sticky, which is nice.

Built to Lash Lengthening Mascara - $14 USD

"A lengthening mascara for lashes that will look *almost* too lush to be real. It’s made with plant-based ingredients like bayberry and rose wax, plus an all-in-one brush for buildable volume that lifts and lengthens. Super-black mineral pigments make the most of every little lash. No flakes. No smudges. No, really!!"

Things I love:

  • It's not clumpy at all

  • It looks very natural

  • It lengthens more than other mascaras

Things I don't love:

  • I have nothing bad to say about this product

Final thoughts:

I absolutely LOVE this mascara. It is definitely my favorite - it's not clumpy whatsoever, this pigment is nice but natural, and it doesn't smear. It also retails for $14 USD, which is pretty affordable.

Zero Chill Face Mist - $10 USD

"A botanical, rose-infused spray that restores good vibes when our skin has zero chill. Rose and lavender work together to give skin a big sip of calming moisture with just one spritz. Made with seaweed— a natural skin-soother rich in yummy nutrients, and pollution-busting thyme extract, this wonder instantly transforms our skin from moody mills to major mills!"

Things I love:

  • It's very refreshing, especially in the summertime

  • It smells amazing

  • It gives a nice boost of hydration

Things I don't love:

  • It has a lot of heavy frangrances, which might be irritating if you have sensitive skin

  • It doesn't last long

Final thoughts:

I really enjoy using this product; it smells nice and it's very refreshing. I don't really think it's doing much for the skin, but it's a nice experience. I would recommend it if your skin doesn't get irritated by heavy fragrance.

Clean Magic Fash Wash - $12 USD

"A dewy and creamy face wash that cleans and rejuvenates when our faces feel dry and neglected! The magic starts with ferulic acid, a plant-based antioxidant that fights environmental nasties like smog. A balancing mix of seaweed, ivy, lemon, and sage controls excess oil so our pores stay baggage-free.  It gets rid of makeup, dirt, oil, and environmental yuck so we can get back to being our beautiful selves."

Things I love:

  • It smells nice

  • It can be used with water as a cleanser, or on it's own, as a makeup remover

Things I don't love:

  • This wasn't a personal issue, but a few people said that it irritated their skin, and caused their acne to worsen.

Final thoughts:

For an affordable cleanser like this, I would say it's worth trying; just be aware of the ingredients and how they could affect your skin.

I think that Florence by Mills is a good brand overall. They use new and interesting ingredients, are fairly sustainable, and donate to the Olivia Hope Foundation (not to mention the fact that their packaging is very pretty!). Their products are far less synthetic than many brands, and they try to be very diverse in both their marketing and their products.
